Alongside mental health support, parents are provided with practical strategies and coping mechanisms, this includes time management tips, relaxation techniques, communication strategies for discussing tough topics with their child, or approaches to handle frustration and burnout.

Following the initial discussions, we provide tailored suggestions for the appropriate professionals that best fit the identified needs. This involves matching them with therapists for behavioral support, occupational therapy, academic coaching, or skill-building sessions.

Access to curated resources—such as reading materials, workshops and relevant apps or tools—is offered to further support the parents. These resources are designed to help parents better understand their child’s needs and equip them to reinforce the skills being developed in sessions.

Each young adult will participate in a minimum of eight customized sessions (by a single professional) designed to build vital life skills. These sessions may include practical skills such as managing personal finances, cooking, or handling transportation, social skills, effective communication.

Parenting teens and young adults with disabilities can be emotionally and mentally taxing. Our virtual support sessions provide parents with a safe space to express concerns, share challenges, and receive support from a mental health professional.
